We are thrilled to announce that Nina Kaye has signed a deal for two brand new romantic comedies with Canelo. World English Rights were acquired by Emily Bedford, editorial director at Canelo, from Nina’s agent Kate Nash.
Just Like That and Stand Up Guy are both tartan rom-coms, packed full of warmth, wit and hope. Just Like That follows Jess, an Edinburgh-based events manager whose career has been derailed by a family tragedy. Demoted to project managing a failing animal park, Jess must work with rugged head keeper Nick to save the park. Nick and Jess couldn’t be more different but maybe the animals of East Lothian Wildlife Park will help these op-paw-sites find some common ground…
Nina Kaye is a romantic comedy author who writes fast-paced, entertaining reads with a deeper edge. Based in Edinburgh with her husband and much adored side-kick James, Nina is the author of The Gin Lover’s Guide to Dating, Take A Moment and One Night in Edinburgh. She has also been a contender for the RNA Joan Hessayon award.
