Calling all writers!
Are you writing romantic fiction, or would you like to? Could you be the next Colleen Hoover, Ali Hazelwood, Bella Osborne or Julia Quinn? Kate Nash Literary Agency are sponsoring a competition to discover the next big voices in romantic fiction and have teamed with the I AM Writing Festival in Winchester (4th-12th June 2022). The winner will have an online consultation with award winning literary agent Kate Nash along with a cash prize, with additional cash prizes and written feedback on offer for the runners-up.

“I am looking for interesting characters that come to life on the page,” says competition judge Kate Nash, past winner of Agent of the Year at the Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards. “And emotion. The best place to start a romance novel is at the moment when your main character’s life changes. Show the emotion. And don’t forget to include setting, the reader needs to know where they are in time and place.”
