The Kate Nash Literary Agency has appointed Lina Langlee as a junior literary agent as the agency grows.
Founder Kate Nash, one of this year’s The Bookseller’s Rising Stars, tells The Bookseller it was a “big decision” for a small agency to take on a full time hire, but that business was good and the commercial fiction market was buoyant. “Turnover is up. My authors are doing well. I don’t believe the talk in some quarters that digital is under pressure, I am not seeing that,” she said.
Lina has previously worked in Publicity at Black & White Publishing and Rights at Canongate Books. Lina will actively be building a list of authors, focusing mainly on writers of commercial fiction with a lot of heart, crime and any genre of YA. She will be based in Edinburgh.
